Turning on/off all of the debugging information.... .

UJ
How do you turn on and turn off the debugging information on the end of a
web page? Someone else set up a dev web site and a test web site and the dev
has it turned on, the test turned off. I'm trying to figure out how to turn
it off though....

TIA - Jeffrey.

It depends on what you mean by "the debugging information on the end of a
web page." This could mean almost anything.

Hi, all. Re: version 7.2.2 I modified the postgresql.conf file as below and got "really neat" debugging turned on. :) pg_ctl reload -D <dir> Unfortunately after I was done, I wanted to turn it off again. I commented out the lines and ran the "reload" again. This did not have

Hi, all. Re: 7.2.2 I modified the postgresql.conf file to enable some debugging. I then did pg_ctl reload -D "blah". That got the debugging started. But when I tried to turn it off, it does not seem to want to stop debugging. I tried just commenting the lines out, then I tried explicitly changing them from true to false. Neither seems to turn the debugging off. I did the pg_ctl reload after each change I tried.

Scenario: This is about debugging server side scripts that make calls to middle-tier business DLLs. The server side scripts are legacy ASP 3.0 pages, and the DLLs are managed DLLs converted/developed with VB.NET. What I want from debugging is to be able to step into the methods in the DLLs called from ASP scripts using Visual Studio .NET. Background: For typical script debugging issues, you can read and follow the two documents on...

Hello I am working locally with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express. Before I even installed it, the information from Microsoft was that you could FTP it to a remote site and it should work. The site I FTP'd to has .Net Framework 2.0 installed. I got this error when I tried to open the site: Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details...

Hello, I'm using an executable (for which I do not have the source code nor the pdb file) as the startup application to load a DLL I'm writing and need to debug. If I try to debug the DLL I immediately get the error "Unable to start debugging. Unable to start program XXX.exe". If I do "Start without debugging" my startup application gets correctly executed. Is this problem due to the fact I'm missing the debugging information for the...

Hi , We have developed a number of plug-in .NET Library Components that we typically deploy with our various applications by installing them into the GAC. Each of the applications contains an app.config file referencing arbitrary versions of the plug-in components they wish to consume. Here's the problem: Assuming I have installed any one of our application software,

C/C++ Programs and Debugging in Linux This tutorial will give you a basic idea how to debug a program in Linux using GDB. As you are aware Visual Studio doesn’t run on Linux so you have to use some of the tools provided on the command-line. If you hate the command line tools, get over it since you’re bound to be using them at some point in your career. All commands in Linux ARE case sensitive so capital letters are different from lowercase...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
