Hi, all.
I have a couple of questions about NAnt.
1. Is there a better way to invoke NAnt from
a C# "Master Test Rig" than shelling out?
IOW, how should an ASP.NET web app or Windows
Service kick off a NAnt build session?
2. We have some test tools that can

Hi,
I am trying to set up my C# web project to be compiled by NANT.
Everything compiles and works fine within the IDE. I have a created a
NANT build file which has a simple project tag, like this:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<project name="MyProject" default="build" basedir=".">
<description>The Hello World of build files.</description>
<property name="debug" value="true"/>

Maybe I am wrong here, but I have a problem with nant that I don't
unterstand, I'm trying to compile an example ConsoleApp Project with
net-1.1, and get the errror:
log4net:ERROR LogLog: Exception while reading ConfigurationSettings.
Check your .config file is well formed XML.
System.Configuration.ConfigurationException: Unknown configuration
section appSettings
(c:\Development\NET\Tools\nant-0.85-rc3\bin\nant.exe.config line 8)

Hi!
I am currently trying to upgrade to the nant 0.84 and was successful in
making the necessary changes. I am having a performance issue though.
Whenever I have a reference of the form A.D.dll, what the nant is doing
is that it copies all the dlls having A.D.*(A.D.dll, A.D.S.dll,
A.D.T.dll, ...) to the bin/Debug. This results in a lot of extra and
unnecessary files being copied and hence loss in performance. Am I
missing something?...

Hi all
I have a cs project that contains a reference to the MSI.DLL. If I open
the project manually into the VS.NET it compiles fine, but when it runs
against nant it fails. The error is regarding missing namespaces that
are into the MSI.DLL.
Here is my nant command:
<?xml version="1.0"?>

Hi, I couldn't find a nant user group here, so thought i'd try this.
I run an external program from nant (robocopy) and unfortunately, it
returns 1 on success. Nant interprets this as a failure. I want it to
continue when it gets a 1 back (and possibly certain other codes), but
fail otherwise. I know I could use failonerror=false but then it would
still continue even during a real error.
Is there a way to capture the return code...

Hi
I am in a conversion project of Code from .Net 1.1 -->.Net 2.0 .
1. I am going to build all my projects with NAnt RC4 version and also with
VS2005 to check the affected Areas.
2. I have both the Versions of my code in my machine, 1.1 and 2.0.
3. My requirement is to use NAnt RC4 version for building both my 1.1 and
2.0 code ad RC4 supports both.
4. I am able to Build both the 1.1 and 2.0 code with NAnt RC4.

I would like to run a nant (.build) file from C# code. I don't know
which class to use (from the NAnt.Core namespace, etc) because I
haven't found documentation/examples for them such that I can call them
in C# code.
Thanks,
Andrei Csibi

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
