(trying again with a shorter message - hope anyone has any ideas)...
Trying to get my aspx application to run on a remote server beyond
my control (except ftp access).
First time I access an aspx page, I get a Windows logon dialog.
If I click cancel, I get an "access denied" error when the app tries
to access a file located in the same folder as the aspx page, but if I
then press F5, everything works fine.

I have successfully placed a seperate .Net windows control on my aspx page
as well as one ActiveX Control (Visio control) on my aspx. But my orignal
design is that Visio activex will be placed in my windows control. And then
this windows control will be place in my aspx as "Client side" rich user
interface control.
It is giving blank page.
Thanks

Hi All!
I have a ASP.NET 2.0 site that works on the Windows 2000 Server. However,
when I tried to view this site on my local Windows XP machine, I get "Server
Unavailable". If I switch the Windows XP IIS back to ASP.NET 1.1 then I get
the Configuration Error (which is understandable because I'm trying to run
an ASP.NET 2 site with 1.1 framework).
I can however view other ASP.NET 1.1 sites on my local Windows XP machine.
It's only the...

Assume that a user control (MyUC.ascx) encapsulates 2 TextBoxes with
the IDs 'txt1' & 'txt2' respectively. To use this user control in an
ASPX page, the following Register directive will be required:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="UC" TagName="MyUserCtrl" Src="MyUC.ascx" %>
Assuming that the ASPX page doesn't use a code-behind, I can access the
properties, events etc. of the user control in the ASPX page in this
way (assume that the ASPX page...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
