I'm running IIS on a Windows 2k server and have just installed the .NET
framework 1.1 so I can deploy ASP.NET applications on my server through .NET
Studios. All my normal ASP applications run fine in IIS but I can't run any
ASP.NET pages. Everything in IIS was configured to handle the .aspx file
extension by the .NET framework installation and it installed with no
errors. When I try to view a simple ASP.NET page through a web browser I...

Hi Folks,
I have a windows 2000 server installation, IIS is running and the ASP.NET
1.1 SDK has been installed. I'm reading a book on ASP.NET and the lessons
call for the first line to read <%@ Page Language="VB"%>. When I save the
page and run it (from a remote machine) I get the following message;
"The scripting language 'VB' is not found on the server."
I haven't been able to find ANY other solution. When I type this into

Hi,
I am currently working on an asp.net 2.0 web site that is a replacement of a
classic asp web site. The current web site uses a Commerce Server 2002
database for storing user information. It does not currently use any of the
Commerce Server 2002 functionality with the exception of the user
authentication features.
I have written my replacement application to use a custom login form and
custom connection string so that I can use...

Hi All!
I have a ASP.NET 2.0 site that works on the Windows 2000 Server. However,
when I tried to view this site on my local Windows XP machine, I get "Server
Unavailable". If I switch the Windows XP IIS back to ASP.NET 1.1 then I get
the Configuration Error (which is understandable because I'm trying to run
an ASP.NET 2 site with 1.1 framework).
I can however view other ASP.NET 1.1 sites on my local Windows XP machine.
It's only the...

· What is view state and use of it?
The current property settings of an ASP.NET page and those of any
ASP.NET server controls contained within the page. ASP.NET can detect
when a form is requested for the first time versus when the form is
posted (sent to the server), which allows you to program accordingly.
· What are user controls and custom controls?
Custom controls:
A control authored by a user or a third-party software vendor that...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
