VS.Net 2003 Install Error

I am getting a mapped drive error when trying to install VS.net 2003 on
a Windows 2003 server. After I select which components to install, I
get: "At least one component has an install path set to a mapped drive,
installing to a mapped drive is not supported." Yet non of my components
are set to go to a mapped drive. They are all set to go to default
c:\Program Files.

Help appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank

No, none of the default settings with the VS install were changed. I
clicked on all the components being loaded to check the path like
VB.Net, Web Server components etc. They are all going to the default
c:\Program Files..etc.

Help appreciated as I can't find any KB articles on this issue.

Frank

The good news: Along with Python-2.4 comes really good news to Windows users. Yes, you now CAN build extension modules yourself using the SAME C++ compiler and linker Python is built with itself. Everything you need is available at no costs (except download hassle and installation time). Once your system is set up properly its just a matter of running 'python setup.py build'. No longer waiting for someone else to build binaries and a...

I have a ASP.Net web application that has two assemblies that run under com+. Under Windows 2000 the two assemblies are added to com+ automatically when instantiated from the web site. For this to happen we had to change the context in which asp.net runs from machine to SYSTEM by modifying the machine.config file. Under Windows 2003 no matter how asp.net is set to run as either machine or system. I get the following error: ...

I suspected that something was wrong with my installation of VS.net 2003 Professional. I was having problems in my debugger. I decided to do a repair or update. The original install of VS was done on a DVD labeled May 2003 from MSDN. Subsequently I have received newer DVDs from MSDN with VS.net 2003 professional on it. The latest is a yellow DVD, Disc 2431.1 (Dec 2003). I used this DVD. I went in and selected update/Repair...

Hi, I have a problem installing MS VS.NET 2003. First of all, I have all the pre-requisites installed and I have the requirements in system and in OS. (Win2000 SP3, etc..) Now, I had to install this on a client's machine, for some strange reasons, it had to be installed on their production server, but that's besides the point. The client logged me on with his user, and I

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
