Hey,
How do you debug the codebehind file of a web application?
When I put breakpoints and run in debug mode nothing happens. I can't step
through because it looks like the line where the breakpoint is, does not get
executed or recognized as debug line.
I have debug set to 'true' in web.config.
I'm trying to debug why a HtmlTable object I dynamically create in the
codebehind file, does not display on the web page. The values retrieved from
the database are correct along with the correct rows, but the table just
doesn't display.
Thanks,

I got how to debug it now. The asp.net process needed to be attached along
with the debugger.

Hi everyone
I'm having a very frustrating problem with debugging my code at the moment.
The problem concerns breakpoint working in some methods, but not others.
In an aspx codebehind I have the method page load:
private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e){
int currentTrialID = 1;
}

I'm reading the Essential ASP.NET book by Fritz onion and he says that when
VS.NET creates a new .aspx page for you is uses the codebehind attribute on
the Page directive rather than the src attribute. From what I understand the
src attrib is standard ASP.NET but the codebehind attribute is only
understood by VS.NET. Doesn't this make the pages (source code) less
portable? Is there any reason for this?
Hope someone can help.

I have 2 pages referencing the same codebehind file in my
project. Originally the pages referenced separate code
behind files. Once I changed the reference to the same
file, everything worked fine while the file was in the
project directory. When the obsolete file was removed
from the project directory, my application will no longer
compile. Can someone please help with this issue?
Thank in advance,
Tom

My ASP.NET application is written using C# script as well as C#
code-behind.
After setting a breakpoint in the script and running the application,
I click from one page to the next but when I get to the page where the
breakpoint is, the code doesn't break in the IDE at the breakpoint.
The breakpoint is in a Page_Load section. All pages in my app are in
the same directory and use relative linking to move from one page to
the next. No...

Hi. I've just started my second ASP.NET (VB) app and I'm using
codebehind this time.
I'm not using visual studio but am instead coding it all in notepad
(HTML, ASP.NET and CSS)
I'm trying to understand how to best use codebehind to do what I want
to achieve. Basically, so far I have a codebehind file for one page
which works as I wanted but I want other pages to share that
codebehind file. That's no problem except I want each one to...

If I use a code behind class for an aspx page, what is the best way to get
data from the codebehind class into my aspx page?
I know about databinding, but is there a more basic way of just referencing
the variables or calling getters?
thanks in advance

Using VS 2003 and Cassini web server. I'm new to ASP.Net and so this may be a dumb
question.
I'm getting an error where the type 'FarmLand.WebForm1' is not found. The Codebehind
C# source file declares a namespace of FarmLand and a class of WebForm1.
Does one have to restrict which namespace one uses in Codebehind forms? Maybe match
the namespace the aspx file has?
When one adds a namespace then does one have to move the file to a...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
