Validating paths using regular expressions

Hi.

I am using a regularexpressi onvalidator control in order to validate
paths. The validation expression is:
(?:\w:)[^:/*?<>{}=|]+

It only accept local paths. It works, but I need to do a better handling
of extensions. I want to avoid spaces on the extensions, but allow them
on the file names. Can anyone help me to change this expression?

Regards,
Chris Leffer

I am looking for a good referance on how to validate a string in C#. Specifically have a string which will contain a postal code that may or may not be in the US. I need to check this string to decide wheather it is in the US or outside the US. I think all I really need to do is see if the string meets the form of five integers. If it does then I will assume that it is a US zipcode and if it does not then I will assume that it is outside...

Hi, I'm having trouble validating an intranet URL. I'm using the regular expresssion validator (though any ideas accepted), and using the standard Internet URL definition, which is.. http://(+\.)++(/*)? unfortunately this doesn't work with our intranet values, such as (e.g.) http://homer/wibble/viewDocument.aspx?Data=1789

I find myself regularly needing to validate user input as either a) numeric only or b) valid email address format (user@domain.tld) I am assuming that there are regular expressions that can be used to do this as it doesn't appear that 1.1 includes this functionality itself. I am interested to know if anyone has a simple vb.net example of a solution to either of these issues. I'm new to regular expressions but if I have a working...

I needed to use a regular expression to validate the shipping code that was/is scanned by my application. I use a windows (winform) application in Vb.net. I did it by creating a function to handle the validation, and return true or false depending on the value it received (which is just input from a scanner). Make sure to import system.text.regularexpressions

I'm working on examples of programming in several languages, all (except PHP) running under CGI so that I can show both the source files and the actually running of the examples online. The first set of examples, after decoding the HTML FORM contents, merely verifies the text within a field to make sure it is a valid representation of an integer, without any junk thrown in, i.e. it must satisfy the regular expression: ^ *?+ *$ If the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
