Hi guys
I have a page that is *supposed* to list the directories on the server.
Here's the code...
folderspec = server.MapPath("./images/")
set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
set fold = fso.GetFolder(folderspec)
for each subfolder in fold.subFolders
Response.Write(subfolder.name & "<br>")

Hello.
I have an asp.net application that resides on a non-DC / BDC Sharepoint
Server (although it is logged into the domain). The application will perform
lookups based on the current user (integrated auth) to an LDAP server which
requires no login (AuthenticationTypes.None). When I run it, I get the
following ambiguous error:
Security Exception
Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed

We are working on a website that is here:
http://www.lauradenyes.com/
The site was working till I put up an .htaccess file that was suppose
to redirect all html files to the PHP parser. The site then stopped
working, because I had the address of the PHP parser wrong. I then
deleted the .htaccess file, and the site began to work again. However,
on one machine it still does not work in FireFox.

hello
We are using forms authentication in asp.net for our web site. The code we
have implemented works on 2 developers machines and not on a single
developers machine.
We all use source safe and the problem developers machine has the latest
version of the code. As we step through the code on the problem developer's
machine, when RedirectFromLoginPage is executed, it does not redirect but
goes back to the login page.

Hi, sorry, cross-post with the ADONET newsgroup.
I have a web site on a 2003 server. The web site runs under Framework
1.1 and works with oracle, no problem.
On the same server I have another web site that runs under Framework 2.0 and
connects to the same Oracle database, same connection string. In this case I
get the following error:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
Thanks

Hi all,
Within an IFRAME of a standard site constructed of mostly static HTM type
pages, I am calling up one page from a large ASP.NET 3.5 site. I have
precompiled the ASP.NET site and published. "Allow precompiled site to be
updateable" is NOT checked. "Enable strong naming on precompiled assemblies"
is NOT checked. However, "Use fixed naming and single page assemblies" IS
checked. I did with the idea that if I call a single page from...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
