I have several dropdownlist controls in a placeholder on my form. Certain
events will show this place holder and populate the values of the items
collection of the dropdownlist controls. A placeholder surrounds each
individual dropdownlist as well and will be set to false if the data for the
dropdownlist will not cause it to have more than one item. I create the
items manually...I don't use databinding and I set both the text and the...

Hi there,
I have a problem.
I have a table in a cached dataset. Depending on the page I need to get a
specific set of rows from the table and bind them to a dropdownlist.
To get the rows from the table I use the Select method, but, how can I bind
the (DataRow) rows to the ddl?

Dear all,
I have created client-side scripting to trigger event onChange from
code-behind, like this:
DropDownList1.Attributes = "GenerateArticleID()";
At the script on Windows Form, I added this function to have the value of
DropDownList1

Hi
I'm using a DataReader to pull items into a DropDownList from an SQL
database. Everything works fine, but my client has started to nice that newly
added database entries aren't appearing in the DDL.
I've tested locally with exactly the same new record and it shows up fine in
the DDL, so I'm wondering if perhaps the DataReader or DropDownList has some
sort of maximum record/listcount limit?

Hi,
I have a bound dropdownlist with an event handler
OnSelectedIndexChanged.
If I select a value I'm redirected to another page. I come back using
the browser's back button, and the option is still selected. So far so
good. But the very weird thing is that if I look at the source code :
<option selected="selected" value="13808">DataPage6</option>
<option value="13805">DataPage5</option>

Hi folks,
I am trying to determine which item in a DropDownList Web control has been
selected.
I have posted an OnSelectedIndexChanged subroutine in my code with a
reference to the subroutine in my asp tag as shown here:
<asp:DropDownList
id="ddlTo"
runat="server"

I have a SqlDataSource bound to a DropDownList Combo. Works just fine.
I noticed 2 properties you can set in the DropDownList, 1 for the value
to be displayed in the "Text" column and 1 for the value to be used in
the "Value" property.
I'm at a catch 22 right now though..
The SqlDataSource gets 2 field values.. "Name" and "Description".

Hi there,
I have a Gridview control which has a dropdownlist in every row. The dropdowns are populated dynamically from a database (so the content is different in each row. There is also a select button for each row so that the the user can choose a row and the values will be added to a shopping cart.
My problem is that the page loads fine and everything is showing as it should be. However, when I select a row the dropdownlist for that row...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
