Hello,
I am stuck with a problem trying to mimic the behavior of a Windows
Forms Readonly textbox in HMTL/ASP.NET.
Basically, I would like the text to be readonly and overflow the
textbox (overflow attribute) with the user being able to scroll thru
the text using the arrow keys within the textbox.
I managed to get the readonly and the overflow part to work but cannot
figure out a way to let the user place the cursor within the box and

Hi
I have a datagrid that is popolated by a search result. I would then like to
double click on a row to open the record in a new form.
The double click doesn't seem to "fire"? I am relively new to VB.NET (coming
from VB6). How does one capture the double click event on the datagrid?
Any tips will be appreciated.

I have a textbox on a Windows Form. I am wanting to display a popup form to
request/validate info if the user clicks the textbox and have a different
form (to delete data) load if the user either double-clicks or holds the
mouse down on the textbox. I tried double-click but the click event always
fires before the double-click can work. I would prefer a mouse hold event.
Is it possible to trap a mouse hold? I did not see an event for...

I have an ASP.NET 2.0 page with a readonly textbox on it who's value is
populated by a popup child window used for selecting from a list. I use a
javascript function to pass the data back to the parent using the name of the
textbox with the parent form. This all works fine, except when I click Save
on the Parent form and require the client side RequiredFieldValidator to
trigger. This validator results in showing the error message...

I have an unbound form that displays all the days of the year as a
calendar. It has 12 rows of text boxes with either 29,30 or 31 in
each row. Text box names are of the form: display_01_01,
display_01_02 ... display_12_31.
This is used to display bookings of holiday properties and works
well. I am now wishing to be able to highlight a range of dates by
double clicking in one text box and then in another, highlighting all
the dates...

Hi All,
Thanks for reading this :)
I have a form A that consists of a main form A and a sub form A.
In sub form A, I have a field which I can double click. Then, Main form B opens up with a search field. Sub form B has a query as recordset. The query use the search field value as a filter, and the filter is updated every time text is entered into the search field.
What I want to happen is to set focus on the search field once form b...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
