SQL Notification Services integration.

Hi everyone,

I wonder if it is possible to integrate a ASP.NET Web Application running on
IIS 6.0 with SQL Notification Services. Having the ASP.NET Web Application
running(user on client machine connected with IE), if data is inserted into
a certain table we want the ASP.NET Web Application to detect it(or get
alerted by another application) and alert the user. We thought that it may
be possible to do it with SQL Notification Services, but there may be a
better alternative. Any detailed suggestions/help/info will be greatly
appreciated.

Regards.

I've learnt that there are 3 types of web services...........one that provide information, once that provide a transaction, ones are an integration of webservices. WHy bother have a web service that simply provides information when you can just have a web application (eg ASP)that does that? Also, can a html web page generate SOAP, or do i need a web application (eg ASP) inorder to have a webpage that interacts with a web service?

I have installed SQL Server Management Studio 2005 and have been finding the equivalent of the Data Transfer Services in SQLServer 2000. I think I have worked out that it is in SQL Server Integration Services but when I open File-New-Project I do not see the SQL Server Integration Services there, though Help assumes that it is available for selection when starting a new project.. How can I make it visible in the New Project window? ...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
