odd phenomena with Repeater and PagedDataSet class

Hi guys

I've just setup my repeater to work with the PagedDataSet class as per the
article on 4guysfromrolla.

I got everything working great.. it displayed the first 20 results, and a
next button. Click that and Prev button becomes active and it shows the next
20.

Then I decided I wanted to change the font of the asp:label showing "page x
of y". So i added some properties in the property window for the label
control.

When I now run the app, I get the repeater with the next/back buttons (both
active), but no results at all. also the label is not visible? when i click
next, it goes to page 2, and everything works, and i can click back from
there and see page 1 results.

it'js just on loading - doesnt seem to be binding. if i press back after
reload, i get an error saying record -20 cannot be found (obviously).

Haven't changed the code at all, and ive taken the font stuff out of the
label. and it's still doing it!! what'd i do!?!

Cheers
Dan

I need to create a page that displays all of the products from a table and allows for add to cart functionality. My thoughts were to display all of the products in table rows using a repeater. Each row has a text box for quantity to order and a button to add the product and quantity to the shopping cart. I can dynamically assign the CommandArgument to my button and figure out which one was clicked, but I can't figure out how to get the...

At design-time, a datalist is hooked up to a dataset and it would work as expected at run-time. Then I added code for paging (with) PagedDataSet but the paging wouldn't work until I removed design-time datalist binding. I tried to remove the binding in code but it doesn't help either: DataList1.DataMember = ""; DataList1.DataSource = null; MyAdapter.Fill( OriginalDataSet.Tables );

I'd like to use a Repeater to display data coming back from a cross-tab report. Because it's a cross-tab, I generally don't know how many columns are coming back. They do follow a certain format: e.g. CompanyName, c1, c2, c3, etc .. The current format of my repeater is: <table> <asp:Repeater ID="rptCompanies" Runat="server">

Hello All, I have created a web page. At the top of the page there are 4 links; upon clicking on one of the links it brings up the left hand side menu, it's a repeater that loops through items selected from the database based on the id of the link chosen from the link at the top of the page. The page that displays the information is the same page for each menu item as the details are stored in the database and selected based on the id...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
