Hi,
On my dev machine (P4 1.7Ghz Win2K) debugging with Komodo is painfuly
slow. There is a delay of several seconds when stepping over a single
line of code. Debugging the same code with Pythonwin is very quick. Does
anyone else experience slow debugging, and is there anyway to speed it up?

I know some of you have seen this problem. Stepping through code in the
debugger is slow as heck in Visual Studio 2005. Well here is the problem,
Edit and continue. Because edit and continue does run time compileing of
code as it executes, it causes a big slow down in execution time. To disable
this and return the debugger to the normal speed as it was in VS.NET 2003,
do the following.
Go to tools menu > options
Select debugging form...

I am using VS.Net (and most of you, of course) for a quite long period for
web development for medium to large development tasks. My humble opinion is
vs.net is eating up a lot of developer time, as far as the web development
is concerned.

I wonder if anyone has any tips to improve Visual Studio's debugging
performance? I have a 20 page web app that takes 90 or more seconds to bring
up the logon page after I hit F5. Start without debug (Ctrl-F5) is much
quicker, but of course, I don't have the debugging then.
I am running this on a 2GHz Compaq laptop, with both the server and database
on the same machine. After the first page loads, subsequent pages are
slightly slow on...

Running a solution with about 20 sub-projects total about 150.000 lines of
code.
Typing code is slow (delay when typing fast).
Pressing next line while debugging is slow.
Pressing Ctrl-F for quick find is rediculous slow.
Everything is slow.
Running Exe is fine though
This is on a HP Workstation machine with Xeon 3GHz (HT Enabled) with 2 GB

Hi there.
I have a simple web page ( 1 textbox, 1 label, 1 button). The page runs
under IIS, but it takes at least a minute before it allows me to enter
keystrokes after pressing ctl+f5.
environment: vista home premium, visual studio .net 2005.
Any ideas as to why this is so slow? how may i resolve this issue?
