I have datagrid. On this datagrid there is a button and a
dropdownlist.
When I press the button, I want the selectedIndex of the dropdownlist.
There is a button and a dropdownlist for each datagrid row that is
populated from the database. Example, five rows returned, five
buttons, and five dropdownlists.

I have a datagrid control within a datalist control. When
I try and do a "Find" on the control, the object comes
back with nothing and then my pgm crashes. I am 100% sure
that my datagird inside my datalist has an id
of "Datagrid3". dgChild comes back with "Nothing" while
debugging.

After pouring over about a dozen sites that clearly dealt with ClientID
all by itself, I came to the realization that about 2/3+ of them were
doing it wrong. It is indeed impossible to grab the Client ID of a form
field from within a DataGrid like this: <%= FormFieldID.ClientID %>. At
least, not without extra work.
How did I do this? I created a new DataGrid from scratch, with a form
