getting ClientID of control inside datagrid item

Hi,

I'm trying to get the client side id of a control inside a datagrid (ex.
myDatagridId_ct l2_myTextBoxId) . On the server side code, if I try to use
((TextBox)e.Ite mFindControl("m yTextBoxId")).C lientID, it will just return
the ID of my textbox, so "myTextBoxI d" instead of the true Client side ID. I
need this to refer to a textbox ni my datagrid using javascript (I generate
the javascript code in the ItemCreated event of the datagrid).

Thank you!

I have datagrid. On this datagrid there is a button and a dropdownlist. When I press the button, I want the selectedIndex of the dropdownlist. There is a button and a dropdownlist for each datagrid row that is populated from the database. Example, five rows returned, five buttons, and five dropdownlists. I know I am supposed to use the ClientID, but I cannot figure out how

I have a datagrid inside a datalist. The datalist shows parent info and the datagrid shows the child info for that parent. There is a checkbox on each row of the child datagrid. Also inside the datalist is a radiobuttonlist. When this radiobuttonlist is checked, I would like it to iterate thru each row on the child grid and either select or deselct the checkboxes (which are on each row of the child datagrid). In addition, the user can also check...

I have a datagrid control within a datalist control. When I try and do a "Find" on the control, the object comes back with nothing and then my pgm crashes. I am 100% sure that my datagird inside my datalist has an id of "Datagrid3". dgChild comes back with "Nothing" while debugging. Here is my code in the itemdatabound event for the datalist: <code>

I need to get to a status label I have on my footer section of my datalist. There is no event happening that would go to the footer. I am just doing some processing and want to update the label on the footer. At the moment, I go through the dataListItems like so: for each oItem as DataListItem in DataList1.Items trace.warn("inside for loop oItem type = " & oItem.itemType.ToString())

After pouring over about a dozen sites that clearly dealt with ClientID all by itself, I came to the realization that about 2/3+ of them were doing it wrong. It is indeed impossible to grab the Client ID of a form field from within a DataGrid like this: <%= FormFieldID.ClientID %>. At least, not without extra work. How did I do this? I created a new DataGrid from scratch, with a form above it and a form inside of it. This was a page...

I prepare a UserControl that act as a lookup control, once the code is enter in the TextBox, the description will appear in another TextBox outside the UserControl of the same row in a DataGrid via javascript. I attempt to get the client ID of the TextBox (with provided ID of that TextBox as "ext_desc") by the following code inside the Page_Load() event of the UserControl (named Color_Control): for(int i = 0; i < DataGrid1.Items.Count;...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
