I have an array of Client objects that I'm binding to a ListBox. The
DisplayMember property of the ListBox is set to "Name" (the name of the
client). How do I notify the ListBox that the 'Name' property has been
changed and the ListBox should be updated to reflect the new name?
Thanks!

Hello,
I tried to display a column in MS Access 2000 nwind.mdb using 3 data
controls. But I got "It is
already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view
its data." I put ole DataAdapter, Connection and dataset controls and fill
in the properties of the listbox. The only code I have is
OleDbDataAdapter1.Fill(DataSet11, "employees") in page_load sub.

I have a data bound listbox that I want to select multiple lines then
process each line.
I bound a two column datatable to the listbox and set the DisplayMember
property to the appropriate column of the datatable. I set the
SelectionMode property to MultiExtended.
I am able to load and select multiple lines in the listbox but I can not
figure out how to retrieve both columns for each line selected in the
listbox. I know that there is...

Greetings!
I am struggling to understand data binding in VB.Net, and it's slow
going.
I have a list box bound to a dataset that is filled from a SQL Server
table. In addition to the list box, I have two buttons on the form.
When I click one, a data adapter's Fill() method gets data into the
table, and the column the list box is bound to obligingly appears in
the list box. The other button merely displays a message box when it

Hi. I have a form with a listbox and a few label fields all bound to a
dataset. When i navigate the listbox the labels change accordingly. so far
everything works good.
I made a button to delete a record. I delete the row from the datatable and
update the database with the adapter and that all works good. The record is
removed from the listbox.
Here is my problem.

I have been trying to figure out for days on how to read values from a Bound
ListBox. The listBox gets the values from an Access Table.
I can read values fine for Non-Bound ListBoxes, But the same code doesn't
work for Bound, see below:
Any one of these work for a non-bound listbox.
Code:

Is this a feature of ListBox that when using a DataSource, the
SelectedItem acts different?
Added ListBox1 and ListBox2 to a form.
ListBox1 is bound to a DataSource where DisplayedMember=name and
ValueMember=id from the table.
ListBox2 filled by AddRange(New String() {"One", "Two", "Three",
"Four", "Five"})
ListBox2.SelectedItem = "Three"

I'm very new to the whole programming thing and I'm having a little trouble with the syntax of my code.
My code contains a bound listbox where the display member and value member are two different values. I want my program to cycle through the listbox and compare the value member of each item in the list box with a fixed value. My problem is I can't seem to find the syntax to grab the value of the item in the list box. I can't use...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
