Hi all
I am creating a basic control to perform some tasks, and I want to declare
some events to be raised so they can be handled from the form that the
control is on. I can create my own Event Handler class and use that, but I
would like to use the System.EventArgs class so that my event can be handled
by different controls.

Hi all,
I have a project where we use lots of user controls. We would like to move
them to private assemblied custom controls but from what I see this can't be
done because the .ascx file must be in the main project as a file...in other
words, it doesn't look like you can add a reference to a custom created
control and leverage an .asxc within it.
Is this correct?

Iam new to MS .Net technology just getting along with it....I created a custom control ,which takes in a query and displays the data in a tabular format....something similar to a datagrid.
Since its a custom Control I drag and drop and use it in my Pages. I overload the render method of my Custom Control and I pass the data that is to be displayed.
Now there is a requisite I have to add a Control ( Say for ex a Dropdown List box)...

I have created a simple windows custom cotrol that inherits a button.
I have it added to the toolbox and I am able to add it to my form
successfully. The problem comes when I decide to change a property on
my custom control (like the background color). The change is not
reflected across my project. If I select and delete the button from
my form, then add it again the changes will be shown. But I want to

I have an own (custom) control to which I give the DataSourceId and in the
custom-control so I get the ObjectDataSource. No problem

am using Visual Studio 2005.
I have a few questions:
1. Should I use the Web Site or Project Model?
I believe Project Model allows me to embed the resources (images,

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
