DataGrids, Paging, and Flaky

Hello all,

I work for a small programming shop and we have recently been developing
web reports using aspx datagrids. On productions machines everything
works fine, but when we move the content out to the web server it
becomes very flaky. The problem is around the datagrid itself. The
paging features seem very flaky. Sometimes the pages load correctly
when the numbers in the footer are clicked on and sometimes they don't.
No error messages are received, they just simply don't load. Has
anyone had these types of experiences with the aspx datagrid? If
anybody has any info I would greatly appreciate it as we would like to
put these problems behind us. Otherwise, we are going to have to try
another product.

Thanks,

Shock

Hi, I am trying to get a list of all of the rows in a datagrid where a checkbox is checked but am having a major headache with the postback. I'm using VB and codebehind and I have an example which works fine as long as I don't repopulate the datagrid. Unfortunately I need to repopulate the datagrid to get the paging and sorting to work. So I have one option where the grid's datasource is refreshed as part

I have a web page written in asp.net that has multiple datagrids on it that would need to be exported to Excel. Each of the datagrids would be a subset of what the datagrid above it was. Thus far, I've had no luck in finding anything to work reliably. Some of the files I've saved (using a radio button click event), will open fine in Excel, others give me an "Unable to open file" message. Any help appreciated.

I have a WebForm onto which I would like to place a number (probably three) DataGrid controls directly under one another. These grids will have a variable amount of rows. There will also be label controls used as titles at the top of each of the grids. In the designer everything looks fine but if the number of rows in the browser is greater than that in the designer then the controls overlap. I had assumed that the controls under the...

I have a datagrid on a webform that will allow the user to edit data in a list. I have added the edit column in as a link, but when it is clicked nothing happens. Do I need to set something else in the Columns property or is it a property of the dataset that needs changing? Thanks Helen

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
