printing invoice in asp.net

Dear sir,

I am develoing an application on ASP.NET. This application needs to print a
few hundreds invoice everyday. Those invoice has to be printed on a very
very precise position on a special type of paper offered by our bank. In
Holland, we call this kind of paper "acceptgiro ". I am thinking of two
options. one is do this work in ASP.NET, one is do it by windows
application. I prefer ASP.NET of course even I have to do some extra coding.
Here are my question.

1. Do you think asp.net able to do this work, or I have to do it by windows
application.

2. Can ASP.NET (in fact HTML) able to print something on very precise
position? I know I can do this by css. However, our people use many
different computers from 98, 2000 to XP. Will different OS be a problem.

3. A few 100s page means that the HTML page I will use to print those
invoice will be about 2000 KB size big. Will 2000 KB a page be a problem for
client side to handle it?

If you have any experience in this kind of situation, please be kind enough
to share the knowledge.

Hello, I am new to ASP.NET and I have to print an invoice from an application written in ASP.NET, I have followed most of the threads in this newsgroup about the dificulties posed by the server side nature of ASP.NET, but nobody really addressed a solution to the problem, can I use "Crystal Reports" which comes with Visual Studio to do it ? What is the down side if any ?. I'm asking instead of just doing it because since I don't know...

I am printing a very basic report with a detail section from a query. When the detail prints out everything is duplicated. For example, if there should be two lines, there are four due to the duplicates. I have checked the source data and there are no duplicates in it. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? John

I have a report (invoice) that I need to print at the end of the day for each order I shipped that day. I can generate a list of the invoice numbers in a table I need printed, is there a way to print all required reports for that day from a table that contains only the invoice/order number? Each report runs a query on 2 different tables, any suggestions?

What i am trying to accomplish is programatically creating Invoices and then Printing them out. I don't really need to "View" them before they print. How I am trying to do this is I have created a "Template" of the invoice in HTML. Througout the text of the HTML are keywords or variables. I load this in .NET with a streamreader, edit the string to find/replace the keyword (variable) with the value (example: in the string are the...

I have a VB6 app that allow users to set up invoice formats indicating X and Y position for each field (customer, total, etc). So when the format changes, the user only needed to change the X,Y settings. When the invoice is printed the app reads that settings and using the printer object send each field to the position that was previously configured. I'm working on the VB .NET version of that app, I already migrate the other process and...

I have an array of invoice keys that I need to loop through, display in a window on screen, then auto print, before looping to the next one, again displaying on screen, and then auto printing. I have my array sorted, and I am planning on building up the HTML invoice using a StringBuilder and then displaying it via a div InnerHtml. But how do I auto print them, and then repeat the process?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
