Hi,
I'm creating a custom checkbox list control which will take 2 arraylists as
input. (One will contain Names and other will contain 0s and 1s. 0 - uncheck
1- check).
I'm able to create the checkbox list. The problem is I'm unable to raise an
event when I select any of the checkboxes. Following is the code:
Could you guys please help me on this issue.

I have implemented the
System.Web.UI.IPostBackDataHandler.LoadPostData interface in my custom
control, however, when I submit this Function is not called by ASP.NET (
Which is what I assume is supposed to happen ).
Unfortunately it does not get called, any ideas what could be causing this ?

Hi. I'm not getting any answers in buildingcontrols, so I'm gonna try here.
I've written a custom control derived from System.Web.UI.WebControls.ListControl. The control is taking in a dataset and renders HTML with radio buttons (the result is similar to a RadioButtonList). I would like to add events to the control, but being new to .NET I don't know where to start.
When the user changes selection by clicking another radio button, I would...

I would like to create a custom control that generates everything that will
be in the <head> </head> section.
This would allow me to make changes on all pages withing a site in one
location.
But can I do so since the control would not be withing a <form> tag in the
aspx page?
Can I do like so?:

Can I apologise for the lengthy nature of this post. The scenario is
complicated (though I hope the solution is not!)
basically, I've got a custom template control which binds itself to a tree
structure. The template items describe how each particular note type of
the tree should be rendered (the nodes are data capture elements - bool
string and more complicated things).
I don't want to use ViewState because of size (there are...

Hi.
How can I make a custom control in VB.NET that is inheriting from TextBox
and also implements/inherits the IPostBackDataHandler?
the problem is that in VB.NET I can't inherit from more that one class, but
when I try to inherit from TextBox and Implement IPostBackDataHandler i get
an error of
"Interface 'System.Web.UI.IPostBackDataHandler' is already implemented by
base class 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox'."
but if I want to...

I've developed a custom control (it's basically a drop-down list and
then a couple of textboxes to include meta-data for the selection) that
I'm embedding into another custom control (the idea is to allow a
dynamic number of control1 to appear in control2). Everything renders
correctly, however I could never retrieve data on postback from my
embedded controls. Upon closer inspection, all of the embedded
controls output without any "name"...

During my postbacks, I try to assign the value from an Input tag to a
property of a custom control. However, I keep recieving the following error:
An exception of type 'System.OverflowException' occurred in

Additional information: Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.
The code that it highlights during this error is the 2nd line of the

I have written a custom control that uses AJAX (it implements
IPostBackDataHandler and ICallbackEventHandler). I have tested it, and it
seems to work the way I want. However, when I used it in another application
of mine it named the components as ControlID$ComponentID instead of
ControlID:ComponentID. I did not change any of the code, so obviously
something else is making this happen. I need to have it name the components
using...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
