hosting asp.net out of IIS with MC++, strange exception.

EP
I am hosting asp.net outside of IIS, and my workerrequest derived class is written in MC++.

Whenever I make a request, I get the exception pasted below:

Of course adding a trust element to the config file doesn't change anything, and I have roughly the same implementation built in c# and it works fine.

Any Ideas?

Hi, I've been trying a long time now to generate some XML using MC++ and XmlSerializer. I have a piece of C# code that produces exactly what I want, but I simply can't get the MC++ code to write the same thing. Below I have included two minimal compilable samples that illustrate my problem. The C# code produces this XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Hi all; This seems at least somewhat on-topic here, so at the risk of seeming shamelessly self-promoting, I figured I would ask. I am the main developer of an open source CRM suite (http://hermesweb.sourceforge.net). We are in the beta-testing of our 0.3.0 release which will include experimental support for shared hosting environments. I would be interested in helping any interested parties beta test the software. Any feedback...

Hello! Why is it I am not able to change the order elements are serialized when using XmlSerializer with MC++? Have a look at this code: #using <System.Xml.dll> using namespace System::Xml::Serialization; using namespace System;

Hi, I have some code that does reflection on an assembly I load. When I try to get the attributes on one of the methods implemented in the assembly, the MC++ version does not return anything. See code below: Object __gc* memberAttributes = info->GetCustomAttributes(__typeof(EntryPointAttribute), false);

Hello, Am I mistaken in thinking that if I have a mc++ dll that I should be able to link against it (so long as it has exported symbols via declspec(dllexport)) in an unmanaged application? I am currently testing this and it fails. I have a native, unmanaged test application that links against my mc++ dll with a function entry point. Linking works fine, no errors. When I try to run in the debugger I see the output below (abreviated...

I am self hosting a Web Service in a Windows service. I am trying to start the service using the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService account. I get a NullReferenceException on ServiceHost.Open() in the ServiceBase.OnStart() method. SCM throws a 1067 error as well. I get the same problem with NT AUTHORITY\LocalService. When I use the LocalSystem account, my domain account, or another regular user account, the windows service starts just fine.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
