Hi Carsten,

Okay, here's the error message I get from MS Access :
Execution Error '50002'
Application defined or object defined error..

About the security folder, I add everybody (or everyone) profile.
And I also unregistred and re-registred the dll.

I thank you for your help
Stan

Okay, wasn't sure if the URL would heklp you, but wirth a shot. Now, you say that MS Access is using the DLL as well? If so, what's the exact error
message? Are there any special permissions on the folder that the DLL is
located in or the folder(s) that the DLL accesses, if any? In addition, have you tried unregistering and reregistering the DLL?

Carsten

I thank you for the url..
I still have the same problem..

But, I think it's a Security issue or something like this..
Because, I try to run the access application (the dll is also used by this
application), and I got an 50002 error.

I ve tried to compare the 2 computers but I didn't find where the problem comes from...

Any idea ?

Hi, we have a (unmanaged) ATL COM server, which implements two interface: ITestInterface1 and ITestInterface2. Both of these interfaces also support the ISupportErrorInfo-interface. Interface implementation is divided into two class: CTestInterface2, which implements the ITestInterfac2, and CTestInterface1, which implements ITestInterface1 AND ITestInterface2.

I have a COM object that calls into a C# Forms library. The library can throw exceptions and I want to handle the exceptions in COM. Adam Nathan wrote a Microsoft sponsored book titled .Net and Com the complete interoperability guide which shows examples of how to do this. Below please find the book example code for getting extended error information from a V-Table bound .Net component. This code does not compile because the compiler gives...

When using Visual Basic .NET with a reference to Interop.Outlook, is there a way to get more detailed information about an error other than Exception.Message or Exception.ToString? For example, Outlook's MailItem.SaveAs method can return an error message of "The operation failed", but I have no idea what that means. As a test, I tried SaveAs using a filename that contained illegal characters and got the error message "Internal Application...

Hi, If I call my own DLL from Javascript, a HRESULT is returned. Javascript cannot cast this to an integer. Is there any other way of typecasting this returnvalue to integer, wihout using the exception method which is described everywhere ? Please note that I am unfamiliar with javascript, I am used to C/C++. My Javascript call looks like : var result;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
