Greeting,
We have an ASP.NET app, developed using c#. There's a feature which
a page (UserControl) when postback, it will download a PDF/Excel file
through typical Response and Content Header codings.
The web layout is designed in with frame, using client script.
Below are the tested result:
Problem:
- using IE 6, and the web layout using frame. When prompted by the
browser to save, click Save. Then either cancel and save the content
gave problem.
No-problem:
- using IE 6, and the web layout using frame. When prompted by the
browser to save, click Cancel.
- using IE 6, WITHOUT using frame in the web layout.
- using Netscape 7.1, with the web layout using frame
The exact problem is the "document" at the IE browser become
"unspecifie d error"!
Somehow saving the download stuff using IE6 screw up the "document"
object!
Anyone can help! 0 1086 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Is there a way to write a file on the client machine from an aspx page? I've
a custom query page and need to store the search criteria specified in an
XML file on the user machine from my web page (aspx). I form the XML at run
time from the search fileds specfied by the user and now my aspx page should
save it on client machine so that the user can open the same query on next
visit of the page.
And help is appreciated.

We have a requirement to put a client onto machines intended for some
telephony work. The database access will be via ASP.Net pages, and
that's fine, but the telephony stuff requires access to some legacy
servers. I've prototyped the client itself as Winforms/C# (which was
NOT fun for a C++ curmudgeon like me, but I'll live).
The problem is, I'd like to be able to ensure that the user is always
running the latest client (our current fat...

Hello,
the scenario:
There's an ASPX page which shows some text and has three buttons at the
bottom: Save, Print and Close. Print and close is done by javascript. But how
can I save the page on the client's computer? He/she could do this using the
browser (file/save), but I need to have it done by pressing the pushbutton.
In my serverside code I get the button-click-event, I also know how to get

Was working in A2003 and noticed that the Save Record item on the Records
menu was not available when the record was not dirty. In A2000, Save Record
was always available. (This is a problem for me because I have Docmd.Runcmd
acCmdSaveRecord code all over the place, which never gave an error before.
But now it was giving an error when the Save Record menu command wasn't
available.)
So I went back to A2000 and confirmed that the Save...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
