Macintosh IE 5.1 and asp.net issue

hi all

I have an asp.net app that works fine on IE in windows. but when using
Macintosh IE 5.1, some of the elements don't work
properly. the common cause that I saw is from the javascript, a tag such as
this
<a href="javascrip t:{if (typeof(Page_Cl ientValidate) != 'function' ||
Page_ClientVali date()) __doPostBack('p rojects:_ctl13: _ctl0','')} ">
<img border="0" src="../images/post.bmp" />

will be render on mac as this

<a href="javascrip t: __doPostBack('p rojects:_ctl13: _ctl0','') "><img
border="0" src="../images/post.bmp" />

is there a workaround for this or this just won't work on mac?
thx
Kevin

Greetings, I'm hoping someone has experienced a problem I'm having: I have an existing ASP application (working fine) that uses an SSL server certificate. My user community is made up of both PC's and Macintosh computers. I've re-written this application in ASP.NET for a number of reasons and now find that my Mac users are having problems with the application. SSL works just fine for PC

I get sporadic viewstate errors from Macintosh browsers. I get mailed the form values when this happens, and it appears that the problem is the encoding of the POST value from the browser. Something like: __EVENTTARGET=&__EVENTARGUMENT=&__VIEWSTATE=dDwxOTk2NDc2Nzk0OztsPFQ<more stuff cut out>hM%3d&T%3aH%3aR%3aAToken=&T%3aH.... As you may see, the arguments after viewstate are just a mess. The browser seems to be escaping stuff it...

We have developed a web-based "intranet" application using ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server 2000, session management with State Server. This application will not be used on internet, just an intranet environment in a local area network, consisting of PC and Macintosh clients. Macintosh users will indeed just use the searching facilities of the application. Our Web-Server has Windows 2003 Server and IIS6 on it. Although the PC's can...

Greetings, I have not confirmed or seen this myself, but I have been told that the ASP.NET 2.0 Menu Control is not working properly under Mac OS on IE and I guess Safari browsers. The issue described to me is that the menu control rendered links, which I have as image links and bound from a sitemap, do not take the user to the specified page. Does anyone know if the Menu control supports all of the adaptive rendering on Macintosh...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
