Seems to me that both are great candidates for Web User Controls. For the
calendar you can find several nice ones at www.dynamicdrive.com .

I have a third party .net control that I need to use in unmanaged MFC. This control is a Forms control, and I need to find a way to drop it onto an unmanaged MFC Forms. I have read the article "Managed Controls in Unmanaged Hosts" by Chris Sells, but was unable to find a way to get a 3rd party .net control to work using his methed, and then going back to his example was unable to get it to work either. I have tried writing a wrapper around this...

I would like to see what is the best possible front end and user interface one can create with ASP.NET. I'm not so interested in the backend since whatever goes on there will not be so obvious anyways. Could anyone suggest compelling websites or web apps? Yeah, you could mention a few Microsoft sites but I would really like to see how well others have exploited .NET capabilities. Thanks.

In our application we've used several 3rd party windows form controls that were installed into their own individual directories. We have to avoid using the GAC, all our dlls should be found together in the main application directory. I'm just reading through the many projects and references that make up our solution. Some of the dlls in the references are set to "Copy Local", others are not. (We can handle that Windows system dlls...

Hello, This is NOT a troll, it's a genuine question. Please read right through to see why. I have been using Vusual Basic and Classic ASP for some years, and have now started looking at ASP.NET. At first glance, it looks excellent, albeit nothing that couldn't have been done to Classic ASP. I have been through a few tutorials and was impressed with how quickly you can get database info onto a page.

Hi Can somebody help me, please! I'm trying to use a third-party .NET forms control in an unmanaged COM-aware application (MFC). I have no problem doing this with normal .net controls, as they conform the requirements of a COM Callable Wrapper (CCW).

Hi, I am evaluating 3rd party user interface controls (Grid, Treeview, Explorer bar, Ribbons, and common controls like checked-combo box, calender etc). I have 3 contenders: Infragistics (Window Suit for 2.0) Dev Express (6.0 for framework 2.0) Janus (UI and WinForm Suit)

Hi... Tried posting this on Build Controls but then saw that's a pretty slow group... Kind of a typical request from product management - they want to be able to swap in different 3rd party controls depending on their whim and the day. In this case, they want to support FreeTextBox and Cute Editor interchangably. I've been trying to put together a container control derived from

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
