Using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual C# .NET 1.1:
I apologize if this question has been addressed elsewhere, but I could not
find a reference to it in the search engine for this board.
I have a form that contains a ListView and a GroupBox control. The GroupBox
control itself contains several TextBox Controls. I have Validating and
Validated event handlers set for the GroupBox control, and a
SelectedIndexChanged event...

I am having a lot of trouble with an ascx page that has a textbox that
*should fire a textchange event when the text changes. The main aspx
page dynamically loads the ascx page and has a image button that
initiates the submit. during submit, 2 events *should fire, 1 from the
textbox and 1 from the image button. The image button event always
fire but the textbox textchange event does not. Anyone has any ideas?

I have a web form with a button and a placeholder, the button adds a user
control to the placeholder (and removes any existing controls). The user
control contains a single button. I have done all the usual stuff of
recreating the usercontrol in the Page Init event.
The 'failure' sequence is as follows:
- select web form button to display the user control
- select user control button, event fires
- select web form button to display...

I have a link (.ascx) and that generates an Add form on that page. The
autopostback dropdown is within a "If Not IsPostBack Then" statement.
The form that is created is all via static html in the user control.
The problem is, no matter what even when no data is filled out in the
form, the submit button just postsback the page and nothing happens. I
have 2 dummy links on the page right now, and the form is automatically
created without a...

Hi, I hope some one can help with this. I have a basic webform with 2
DropDownLists and a single DataGrid. What I am trying to do is populate the
first DDList from a dataset on Form_Load. I then want to use this 1st DDList
to populate the 2nd DDList via the SelectedIndexChange Event.
So far so good. all works up to this point.
The next thing I'm trying to do is to use the 2nd DDList value in a queery
to populate the Datagrid also...

I have a problem where my SelectedIndexChanged on a drop down will fire
sporadically. When it won't fire, I go into Debug and set a break point on
the SelectedIndexChanged event, it will then fire in debug mode, and will
also fire after that when not in debug mode. Seems like when I do it once in
debug mode it will work after that. I made sure that when I double click on
the drop down it goes to the code for the SelectedIndexChanged event,...

Hello,
I have combobox with a selectedindexchanged method that seems to be
called when starting the application, launching the form with the
combobox and making a change in the drop down box of the combobox. Can
anyone tell me why the method is called so often? I would only like
the method executed when a user makes a change in the drop down box.
Am I using the incorrect method. Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
