Our ASP.NET (VB) is generating sporadic "Unable to validate data" and
"Invalid length for a Base-64 char array" errors.
The production environment is two Windows 2000 Advanced Servers in a web
farm. The <machinekey> web.config element has its validationKey (128 char
hex) and decryptionKey attributes set. They are identical on both web
servers.
I believe the error is related to the viewstate due to similar postings on
the Net. ...

This is a huge problem. I'm going insane. I've tried to solve this
elsewhere and no one can suggest how to make this work. To me, this
should be a very basic thing to do.
I have an asp.net application that is a survey acceptor. The site is
to display a page of survey questions and accept the responses. It
builds the entire page dynamically from SQL Server tables. The idea
is that when a person submits their responses, if there are...

I have a web application which sometimes throws an “out of memory”
exception. To get an idea what happens I traced some values using performance
monitor and got the following values (for one day):
\\FFDS24\ASP.NET Applications(_LM_W3SVC_1_Root_ATV2004)\Errors During
Execution: 7
\\FFDS24\ASP.NET Apps v1.1.4322(_LM_W3SVC_1_Root_ATV2004)\Compilations

Hi! I'm trying to get some help implementing a classic ASP version of
the Google API search (http://www.google.com/apis/). I've got a version
that works, but it's very sporadic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it
comes back blank, sometimes it gives an error. No other ASP version of
this API has any problems.
Dim Google_Web_APIs_license_key, Search_String
Google_Web_APIs_license_key = "HIDDEN"
Search_String = Request("q")
If...

Can anyone tell me, offhand, why the following might work on some servers
and not others? I am certain it has somthing to do with a setting in
php.ini, just not sure what that setting is. One some servers, I see nothing
at all. Anyone have any ideas here? Thanks, Ike
<?php
set_time_limit(0);// to overcome maxexecution time

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
