PDF -> TIFF.

I need to convert various document types (xls, doc, pdf, ..) to TIFF format.
Then TIFF file is going to be faxed so there is some restriction on
resolution/dpi i can use.

There are plenty of solutions on internet but when i tested couple it
produced pretty bad faxes.

1. Can anyone recommend something, which gives good quality. (I do not mind
if it cost money).

2. Some solutions work like a print driver. So basically i should print the
document and driver will produce an image. Is it good approach to run under
ASP?

Hi George,
Thank you for posting here. Based on your description, you are looking for
some components to convert multi type of documents into the TIFF document.
Then print the doc out. Is my understanding correct?

As for such converting components, there'are many third party components
which provide the converting functions(from other format to TIFF or image).
I've searched some weblinks on this, you may have a check:
http://www.hot4download.com/Design_T...bMagic_190.htm

http://www.eprintdriver.com/combine-multiple-pages.html

http://www.print-driver.com/versions/version2-7.htm

Also, I think you may have a look at the "Ghostscrip t" component Twitch
mentioned.

This is a rather general subject, I apologize. I am new to XHTML, CSS, et al and I am having trouble understanding the DTD and xml namespace declarations. For example: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DT¬D/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">

Simple question I hope.... How do I send data to and from an ASP.Net (server side) web page to a ActiveX Control (client side) embedded in a web browser??? What I need to do, is I have image data (mostly TIFF format) that need to be sent to our custom Image Viewer (ActiveX control). So far I can get the TIFF image data loaded into a Byte Array in C# on my ASP.Net web page, But how do I send this data now to my ActiveX control on the...

I have a web page and there is a link to open a TIFF file. The way I do it is to have the server code open a binary stream, set the content type to "image/tiff" and call Response.BinaryWrite. On the client machine, the file type TIFF is associated with Kodak Imaging Preview. This app works on most client machines. When you click on the link, Kodak Imaging Preview will open the TIFF file on the client machine. However, on some machines, the...

Hi, I need to save an aspx page as an image (for juridical reasons.) The user should be able to save the page as an image in a database. So I am looking for a way to render the aspx page into a TIFF or something lika that. Does anyone have some hints/links in this matter?

I'm having trouble opening a color .tiff. Calling Image.FromStream on the .tiff throws an "invalid parameter" error. Calling Bitmap.FromFile on the .tiff throws a "System.OutOfMemory" error (the file size is 647k). The .tiff itself is not corrupt, I can open it using MS Picture Manager or MS Document Imaging (although when I open it using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer I get a "preview not available" message). The *.tiff comes from...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
