Moving ASP.NET Visual Studio 2003 project to a different server

Hello,

I created a ASP.NET VB project on my local IIS server. Now we set up a new
server here in the office with a SSL on it and would like to move the
project there so I can continue development there.

Is there a way to move the project from within Visual Studio?

Are there settings on the new server's (MS Server 2003) IIS that I need to
make?

Thanks alot

I still need to be able to edit the project on this new server. Would I
still be able to do that?

I am currently taking a college course in Visual Basic.Net and I am a beginner. I bought Visual Studio.Net 2003 to do my homework at home. I built my first project and e-mailed it to myself at school. When I tried to open it in the lab, I got a message saying I couldn't open it because it was created with a newer version. Evidently the lab is using Visual Studio.Net 2002. My professor doesn't just want the executable file, he wants...

The good news: Along with Python-2.4 comes really good news to Windows users. Yes, you now CAN build extension modules yourself using the SAME C++ compiler and linker Python is built with itself. Everything you need is available at no costs (except download hassle and installation time). Once your system is set up properly its just a matter of running 'python setup.py build'. No longer waiting for someone else to build binaries and a...

I posted this to the Visual Studio group 4 days ago, but didn't get any feedback. So, trying again b/c it presents long-term logistical problems for our deployment strategy. I'm currently deploying an application using the Visual Studio Copy Project tool (via file share) to a different server. It works pretty well, except for ONE problem. I have a folder with word and pdf documents - they are included in the project, but do not copy over...

I copied the project files from an ASP.NET project on one computer and want to create the project on another computer, There is no connection between the two computers so I simply copied the project files from the first computer onto a memory stick and then from the memory stick into my Visual Studio Projects folder on the second computer. But when I open Visual Studio on the second computer and try to create a project by pointing to...

I recently upgraded to from Visual Studio .NET 2003 to Visual Studio .NET 2005. In Visual Studio .NET 2003 when I would select 'Build' it would add a *.dll with the name of the Project to a /bin/ folder in the same directory as the source code. However, in Visual Studio .NET 2005 when I selected 'Publish Web Site' and selected a target location to place it in, it placed the following files in it: All *.aspx files All *.html files

Hi, I have the same .NET program developed on two machines, therefore, two different versions, call them A and B. There are following differences between A and B: 1) They have differences in source code; 2) Since A is developed in Visual Studio 2005 with .NET 2.0, but B is developed in Visual Studio 2003 with .NET 1.1, the project files are

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
