I am trying to add some basic security to my asp web pages.
I have a logon screen which, when the logon and password are checked for
validity, passes the user on to a registration screen using the code
response.Redirect "user_reg.asp?User=" & Request.Form("UserName")
I then inserted the following line before the redirect
response.Cookies("ValidUser") = "ValidUser"
I have the following check at the start of the user_reg.asp page

I have some issues with HTTP Headers and I was hoping for
some pointers or references to good articles.
Here is the problem.
I have 6 .aspx pages, each page contains a common .ascx.
This ascx serves two purposes, 1. it contains a tab strip
with response.redirects to navigate to the other pages;
2. I authenticate the user by check to see if a cookie
exists, if it doesn't I redirect to a login screen.

I have to do some programmatic redirects (in several pages) based on URLs I
am given from an external source. The URLs have querystrings at the end,
but one in particular is about 240 chars long, so I need to programmatically
redirect to it. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to do it. There is no
Response.Form or Response.Attributes (Request has Form and Params, but they
are read-only). I've tried using AppendHeader to pass my K/V pairs...

I have an ASP page that is using an XMLHTTP object to request various
pages from my server. I keep a single session throughout the XMLHTTP
requests by bassing the ASPSESSIONID cookie through the XMLHTTP object.
However, when the page requested through the XML object makes a
<%Response.Redirect()%>
call, a new session is created each time.
Is this a flaw in the XMLHTTP Object? How can I force the session to

Hi,
I want to include a graphic made in file2 into file. File must first send a
value to file2 (with Response.Redirect) which will be used for the graphic.
My problem is that only the graphic is rendered and not the content of
file1.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
