Can't hide column in datagrid

I populate a datagrid by setting the datasource to a
datatable. I then, bind them. After that I try to hide the
last column but am not able to. I get an error message.

Here is my code:

Me.dgReport.Dat aSource = ds.Tables("tFir st")
Me.dgReport.Dat aBind()
Me.dgReport.Col umns(7).Visible = False

Here is the error that I get:

System.Argument OutOfRangeExcep tion: Index was out of
range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the
collection. Parameter name: index
If I take the last line of code out then the page
displayes as expected except for the last column. I tried
to hide column 3 but got the same result.

After the Bind command I looked at the Columns.Count
property and it is 0. Why is this happening and how do I
fix it?

Thanks
enak

You should write
Me.dgReport.Tab les(0).Columns( 7).Visible = False
Then it will work fine.

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to hide the first column of the datagrid (windows form control). The column that I am referring to is the column created by the control that is gray in color and contains the selection arrow. My goal is to use the datagrid in place of a ListView control for performance reasons. To keep this new control like a ListView control, I need to not display this column. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, C. Buck

I need to hide a GridView's "edit" column if the user's role does not support editing. However, the column's Visible property does not support databinding. Is there a workaround? Thanks, Keith

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
