Is there a simple way to cut and paste from a tkinter text widget to an
entry widget? I know I could create a mouse button event that triggers
a popup (message widget) prompting for cut/paste in each of the widgets
using a temp variable to hold the text, but I don't wnat to reinvent the
wheel if there already is something that does the job.
Thanks,
Bill

Hello,
I've just upgraded to VS.NET 2005 and SQL Server Express 2005.
I converted my 2003 project into 2005.
Now, when I try to run it, I get the error message:
A first chance exception of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException'
occurred in System.Data.dll
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When
connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that

I've gotten a COM server written in C# and I can call it from a VBScript
just fine and it works perfectly. However, I import it into Delphi 6 or
Delphi 2005 and I can not get access to any of the functions that are in the
server. Is there something specific that I need to do in order to get
Delphi to see the functions that are a part of the server?
Thanks,
glenn

Something strange is happening on my web site since my hosting provider
upgraded to Server 2003 a few weeks ago.
I use forms authentication in my asp.net application, with essentially
the following c# code-behind on my login page:
If (FormsAuthentication.Authenticate(UserName.Text, UserPass.Text))
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(UserName.Text, true);
Note that the createPersistentCookie parameter is set to true.

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to reterive the gradient selection colors used in
outlook 2003? Basically, I have a grid showing a list of records and my
client wants the selected row to have the same selection gradient back color
as Outlook 2003 has on its left pane. The selected pane in Outlook 2003 have
a gradient orange color for blue color scheme in XP. This gradient color
changes according to the color schemes of the windows XP. Can...

Hello everyone,
I have recently upgraded to SQL 2005 because a client has also upgraded to
SS05. To keep the .NET Visual studio compatible I need to uprade to VS 2003
(7.1) with SP1 installed over that. One of the crucial things in V7.0 which
does not work with SS05 is the SqlDataAdaptor which fails attempting to
generate Update, Insert, Delete statements
I have trawled through the MS website looking for a download for .NET 2003
but...

Dear All,
I am trying to write a C# DLL that would work with VBA (in VBA I can directly call C# dll) and relatively old Win32 application (ArcView3.x). For Win32 application I would like to use C++ Dll wrapper. It is possible to call Win32 Dlls from there. I created small test Dlls (see below). It works fine under Win 2000 but under XP Win32 application crashes without any messages while reaching CoCreateInstance(…) (see C++ code below).
Do I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
