Datalist control questions

ani
I have few questions regarding datalist control.

1) How do I retrieve the values that are present in
the datalist control. My aspx page actually reloads to
itself, and the datalist control has multiple records
that are retrieved from the database. These records are
mostly radio button controls and I am concatenating the
values in the form of a string and displaying them in the
datalist control. My web form is paginated and I need to
carry the datalist control items across pages.

2) When I am using onserverclick on HtmlAnchor
control,I cannot submit the page and there is a javascript
error raised (Object expected). I am using onclick
event to handle validation in javascript.

3)On the form tag, if I use 'runat=server' , the
javascript code does not work properly. I am
validating the user to choose atleast one radiobutton
or checkbox for each question in my web page.
4) I am working on a questionaire project. My task
here is to grab the question number, answer choosen
for each question and carry to the next page. In the
next page, again I need to do the same thing and carry
those values along with the previous ones .
How do I best accomplish this. I have just one web
form(the aspx page that is attached) and I need to
accomplish this in the same web form or in the
codebehind file.

4) Whenever I open my aspx page, I get a design error
saying
'The file could not be loaded into the Web Forms
designer. Please correct the following error and then
try loading it again:

The @ Page or @ Control directive contains a src =
attribute, which is not supported in Visual Studio.
Make sure all of the classes in the page are built or
referenced in the project.'

Why do I get this error. My web page works fine
though..

Thanks.

Hi All, I have created a datalist using the repeatcolumns property to create multiple columns. I have tried to keep everythings width to 100% so that if the window is resized it still looks alright. However with these repeating columns it throws everything out of align because it lets you scroll horizontally but everything else on the page stops where the original right side was. Is there a way it can be set up so that you say repeat...

I don't understand how to test values inside a datalist control. Example, where you're writing the value <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "AdminLevel") %> Ideally, I'd like to alter output based on value this, i.e. AdminLevel = 0 show this AdminLevel = 1 show this Does anyone have any ideas about how this can be acheived?

I am using standard <a href ><image> tag .My aspx page contains a datalist control and I am calling a function in between the <td> tags in the Itemtemplate. The function basically loops associates the answer choices to each question in a page. The anwer choices are radio buttons , so the function returns a...

I need to get to a status label I have on my footer section of my datalist. There is no event happening that would go to the footer. I am just doing some processing and want to update the label on the footer. At the moment, I go through the dataListItems like so: for each oItem as DataListItem in DataList1.Items trace.warn("inside for loop oItem type = " & oItem.itemType.ToString())

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
