I have a problem with bcp and format files.
We changed our databases from varchar to nvarchar to support unicode. No
problems so fare with that. It is working fine.
But now I need a format file for the customer table and and it is not
working. It is working fine with the old DB with varchar, but with
nvarchar I'm not able to copy the data. The biggest problem is, that I
got no error message. BCP starts copying to table and finished...

Friends,
My hardware sends me a date format like this
15:10:20.99 UTC Mon Oct 18 2004
I need to process this format and parse to a valid SQL datetime format, how

I have a SqlDateTime object, but when I use DataBinder.Eval on it, the
formatting is ignored:
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "mySqlDateTimeObj", "{0:d}")
produces output like this: "10/17/2003 12:00:00 am"
Why can't I use format specifiers on SqlDateTime objects??

Hi,
I store the date selected in a datetimepicker into a sqlserver table in
a SmallDateTime field.
To be compatible with the date format of my sql server, I convert the
date as following:
Dim d As Date
Dim dInDate As Date
Dim ciOriginal As cultureinfo

Hi ,
I have two Sql Server 2000 on seperate machines ,
First one accepts datetime format like ("dd.MM.yyyy hh:mm:ss")
And Second one accepts datetime format like ("MM.dd.yyyy hh:mm:ss")
1- Date formats are different because of SQL Collation?
2- Do regional Settings affect Sql date format?
3- (Important) When inserting a datetime into first server there is no
problem (15.12.2000 12:12:12) , but when I insert into second server (if...

Alright..I've found lots of info on this error and most say assign
System.DBNull.Value, System.Convert.DBNull, or
System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlDateTime.Null to my stored proc param and the
problem will be solved...NOT. I suspect all of these are the same
thing, however, none solve my problem. What I have is vb.net code
trying to put a null in a sql2000 datatime field. To further confuse
things, it works on my PC and not from another. I...

Hi to all,
I have a trouble with datetime...now I explain..
I must to store to a C# variable the values from a "Datetime column" of Sql Server 2005.
I tried 3 methods ...in the first two I never was able to get the Millisecond from datacolumn.
I explain the methods...
1) I created a Datatable that contain the column... then I fill a datarow with the current value. The system automatically
converts the Sqldatetime in System.Datetime but...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
