Help with regularexpressi onvalidator

Hi,

I am new to Asp and need some help to write an expression to use with a
regularexpressi onvalidator. I need to validate that the field meets these
requirements:

minimum of 8 characters
Contain a minimum of 1 lowercase and 1 Uppercase character and one special
character (or digit)

I need this to validate that a string is valid as a password before passing
it to ADSI to reset a users password.

Is this at all possible with the regularexpressi onvalidator ?

Any help appreciated

Regards

Hello: I have a RegularExpressionValidator control attached to a TextBox. I have the ValidationExpression property set to a very simple validation expression (\w+). The validation always fails when entering Greek characters. When I test this expression in a standalone test harness, it accepts the Greek characters just fine. It is my understanding that the RegEx class in the Framework is by default culture sensitive and I assume the...

I'm trying to use a asp:RegularExpressionValidator to validate the strength of a password. When I test the regular expression with Regex.IsMatch, it works perfectly. However, when used within a RegularExpressionValidator, it always returns false. Has anyone else had issues with the RegularExpressionValidator not correctly parsing a regular expression? The regular expression I am using is: "^.*(?=.*\d)|(?=.*)|(?=.*)(?=.*)(?=.{8,}).*$"

I am using a RegularExpressionValidator to validate a TextBox. I use "^?+(\.*)?$" to check for a real number. The control works fine as long as the user enters something in the TextBox; it does not work if the user leaves the TextBox blank. Is there a bug in the implementation of the RegularExpressionValidator? The above regluar expression should also catch no entry by the user. I have added a RequiredFieldValidator to solve the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
