Deploy a DTS package on a Web Server C#

I have the need to take an existing DTS package off my laptop SQL2000
Developer version and deploy it on a clients site in the near future.

What do I need to do to run this puppy? Can I script it out and run it as
an SP? Or is there a better way? Data was FoxPro going to MSDE.

TIA

This suits SQL NG more, but anyway:

Open DTS in EM and Save As "Structured Data Storage"

Take this file with you and on their system using EM

Right-click on "Data Trnsf Services" folder and "Open package"
This is weird hard to find place.

Also, I found it a problem when client has differnt DB name, because you
will need to edit DTS on their machine.,

Hope it helps

Hi - I'm having a problem and hope someone can help me. I created an application in VB6 on a W2K machine. I used the package/deployment wizard to create a setup program. Installing my software on Win98, W2K an XP is OK. But I have a problem when installing on XP PRO. The setup says that system files are too old and will be replaced, then ask for restart. But, after restarting the machine, the setup always says that system files are too...

Hi, I am working on a Installer Project, which requires to deploy SQL Server 2005 Reports (.rdl files) and Datasource (.rds file). The datasource is common for all reports. The report files are available in multiple folders (under D:\TestReport) and the .rds file is in a folder called 'Data Sources'. I wrote a VB.Net console application to do the task. I am able to deploy the report files under the specified folders. But I don't know how to...

Hi, I've made a Setup Project to my C# WinApp and added a custom dialog to it that asks for user/pass for a database server. Then I created a Custom Action class and override the Install() to check that the user/pass is correct, but I need to check that so that the installer cannot click Next until user/pass is correct. How do I do that? How do I add a Custom Action to the Next button of a certain dialog? Regards, Simeon

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
