i need help
i have a dataset called ds, which contains a table called
login_table, which contains three columns, namely (login,
password, email).
Now the question is that, can someone translate this query
in correct syntax of C#:
"select email from login_table where login='john'"
i want some thing like following, and i don't know the
correct syntax:
string email=ds."selec t email from login_table where
login='john'"
basically save the scalar(string in this case) value to an
string called email.
all help will be appriciate, help the needy coder

I need your HELP!
I've seen all the posts on using Crystal Reports within vs.net (vb.net)
and changing a SQL query at runtime. When I tried to pass in a dataset
into the crystal report at runtime, the report still showed the results
from the default query (from within the Crystal Report).

Does anyone know how to make common database connections "common" in all
aspx files? In other words, instead of creating a SQLConnection, then a
DataAdapter in every ASPX file for my application, I would like to "include"
them, or "import", say an ascx file. In ASP, all you needed to to was
include another .asp file to do this.

Hey guys, please HELP
I am going nuts with the datagrid control.
I cannot get the damn control to refresh. I am using soap to get information
from a web service. I have an XML writer output the file to a folder, and
then I read it back into the dataset using the dataset1.readxml. Up to this
point, everything works wonderfully. The query executes, the dataset gets
populated, and I get the results displayed in the datagrid.
