asp and vb.net2003

23 New Member
I have installed asp.net and apache and tested a sample program and it works.

I have vb.net2003 and tried to create a asp program with it and it has failed claiming i am using .net 1.0 (I am not) and an error which says i need to check the install of vs2003 (which is garbage).

i take it, it wont work under apache and the asp mod?

Please note that the ASP forum is for "classic" ASP questions. .NET questions belong in the .NET forum. There is surprisingly little overlap, and ASP.NET belongs firmly to .NET not ASP.

That said, I don't think I've ever met anyone before who tried to run ASP from an Apache server. Congratulations!

Do you have something against IIS?

So XP home edition doesn't come with IIS installed, but it is still a free dowload from M$ I believe.
