Add "rel="nofollow"" got Gridview hyperlinks.

5 New Member
Hello All,

I'm trying to become more Google-friendly, which involves adding the "rel = "nofollow"" attribute to many of my outgoing links.

I can't seem to find instructions on how to do this, and I've tried various things.

I've tried to use "findcontrol" to find the hyperlink and "attribute.add" to add the rel attribute, but that doesn't seem to work.

I've tried to add the rel" = "nofollow" to my original SQL statement and to build my link from that string, but not only was I having trouble getting the right string together, but that just doesn't seem like a very efficient way to do it even if I could get it to work.

It seems like there must be a reasonably simple way to do this since the rel = "nofollow" attribute is widespread, as is the use of Gridviews for displaying links.

I'm somewhat new to ASP.NET so I'm hoping that I'm just missing a fundamental piece of information.

Thanks in advance.
