Okay, first of all hello to everyone. I am sorry if I come off as a complete newb to programming. (That would be the complete truth). Here is what I have gotten myself in to. I have started some classes in college. I enjoy the hardware aspects of a computer. I can really do anything when it comes to building/upgrading pc's. I have worked at different PC shops for the past 5 years. Programming has never really been my strong point. So, I have decided to take some classes to maybe help myself out. Well, it is not doing much good because it seems my professor is about as lost as the rest of the class. Our first project is as follows:
Use Visual Studio to create a Web application of your own design that uses a paged DataGrid control to display a set of data read from an Access database table or XML file. Format the DataGrid control by using the Property Builder to change the font color, background color, cell alignment, font name, and font size for column headers and data rows in the DataGrid. Use a different background color for alternating rows. Modifying the database with edit or delete operations as in the text exercises is optional.
I have not got a clue on where to begin. I have tried to contact the professor and it seems that he is avoiding all of the students that have questions. But, still intends on us having the project completed done correctly.
If anyone could give me any pointers or resources to take a look at that might help me better understand what I am supposed to be accomplishing here that would be great.
Thanks
