problem running simple web app

I created an asp.net web application through Visual Studio 2005. I then went
to run the app to see what I would get and received an error pertaining to
security. I started to muck around with all the settings and now I am still
getting the following:

Server App Unavailable. The web app you are attempting to access on this
web server is currently unavailable. Hit the refresh...

IIS is running and the app shows up as an alias website in the IIS
management window. I setup anonymous access and I ntered IUSR_MACHINENAME as
a user. I'm not sur what else I need to do.

Thanks for any help in clarifying this issue for me.

Regards,

-Rob

When you take this question to
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet, you would be advised to
explain which settings you "mucked about with". IIS? VS? Webconfig?
Somewhere else? Everywhere else?? You should take this question there
because this group deals with classic asp. Dotnet is a completely
different technology.
