Pardon my ignorance if it exists, but I'm trying to upgrade from VB 6
to VS.NET 2005 and have a problem.
I created an ASPX file with the corresponding ASPX.VB file, but when I
try to edit the form, I can only add components; I can not edit either
the ASPX code or the VB file behind it. I have to restart VS.NET.
As part of my MCDBA certification, I want to learn the ASP technology,
but this is making it very difficult.

The following page.aspx is a very simple sample. But when I try to load it, it just prints 'ABCDED' as against making it a link. So, I was wondering if this file will first need to be compiled before being used. And if it needs to be compiled, how to do it? I have only .NET framework SDK. Don't have Visual Studio.NET yet.

I am trying to reference an html page from an aspx file. The intention is
that the html file will contain the content for my web site and the aspx will
contain the navigation, logo etc. Then I am hoping I can maintain the html

At work we are setting up a new web site and had a problem with running a
page when using URL:
\\phoenix\cdrive\inetpub\wwwroot\hrworkshop\index.aspx
It would start up notepad to edit the file.
When I went to IIS and changed the default file to index.aspx, this made it
work fine.

I spend most time works on Windows form application and VS 2008 runs at a
acceptable speed.
While I edit aspx file, especially change to Designer View, it seems very
slow.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
