How to edit .aspx file (need to insert GATC)?

Hello,

I have to insert the GATC (Google Analytics Tracking Code) on every single page of our website.

So, I got the code, and I know where I have to insert it, just before </head>.

So I go to the homepage, right-klick and view 'page source'. This gets me to an .aspx file by using internet explorer or to a default.aspx file by using firefox.

As I never had to change such a file before, I do not know how I can edit this file and be able to insert the GATC.

I would be very thankful for any answers... I know it should not be too complicated...

Thanks,
Anke

You need to edit the actual file, not view source. If your website is hosted by a web hosting company, you should ask them how to access the file for editing it.

Pardon my ignorance if it exists, but I'm trying to upgrade from VB 6 to VS.NET 2005 and have a problem. I created an ASPX file with the corresponding ASPX.VB file, but when I try to edit the form, I can only add components; I can not edit either the ASPX code or the VB file behind it. I have to restart VS.NET. As part of my MCDBA certification, I want to learn the ASP technology, but this is making it very difficult.

The following page.aspx is a very simple sample. But when I try to load it, it just prints 'ABCDED' as against making it a link. So, I was wondering if this file will first need to be compiled before being used. And if it needs to be compiled, how to do it? I have only .NET framework SDK. Don't have Visual Studio.NET yet. Thanks in advance for any help. <script runat="server"> Sub Page_Load link1.HRef="http://www.w3schools.com" End Sub...

Hi, I am trying to reference an html page from an aspx file. The intention is that the html file will contain the content for my web site and the aspx will contain the navigation, logo etc. Then I am hoping I can maintain the html files separately via Frontpage. I have tried a server include i.e. <!-- #Include File="c:\somedirectory\somefilename.htm" -->

Hi, I spend most time works on Windows form application and VS 2008 runs at a acceptable speed. While I edit aspx file, especially change to Designer View, it seems very slow. Some time even very slow while in Markup view, maybe it is doing some backup compiling and sycn.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
