MSDN Search made easy

Hi All,
Check this cool gadget at http://smartinterviews.googlepages.com for
MSDN Search and NameSpace/Class Search
A utility to do a direct namespace/class search on MSDN, allows the
user to enter a namespace or fully qualified class and automatically
brings up the result in MSDN.

Can you do a search for more that one string in another string? Something like: someString.IndexOf("something1","something2","something3",0) or would you have to do something like: if ((someString.IndexOf("something1",0) >= 0) || ((someString.IndexOf("something2",0) >= 0) ||

To Microsoft and fellow MSDN Universal subscribers... Regarding new MSDN Universal (I mean Premier) price and level changes: 1) Way too expensive for the small and medium developer Universal subscriber (and some large ones as well). $10,000 - $15,000 per user?!? Forget it! 2) Do you (MS) honestly believe that the market you are targeting will just buy this product on good faith? Without our recommendations? Think about

When I try to compile the below files, the complier says: the WordNode h in BST.cpp: "WordNode" does not name a type also in BST.cpp: "WordNode" undeclared, first use of this function So, any advice? Sorry for the huge post, just wanted to make sure you can understand the problem. As it is, I'm lost.... I've included the WordNode header file, so why can't I create/use WordNode objects/methods (in BST)? WordNode.h #ifndef RANDOM...

Perhaps this has been asked before but there might be some up to date thinking about this. I really need a better search function for my asset register. I allow assets to be entered and tracked over a period of time. There can be quite similar assets and simply choosing from the combo box is not enough. I need something more sophisticated. How hard is it to get a listing that grows as I type in a search term, character by...

I'm in need of a cheap, windows-based web site indexer/search engine that, ideally, has some .net integration and/or can sit along side of an asp.net web site fairly easily. We've used DTSearch in the past, but found the Asp.net support/documentation lacking and gave up on it for various reasons. We fell in love with Zoom Search, which is a GREAT product for the price ($100) But, alas, they don't have Office 2007 document support yet,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
