The process is pretty much the same, but you will need to 1- do a file upload because the email attachment needs to be saved at least temporarily on the server to be asttached. Make a form with a file input and save the entered file to the server (there is an article on how to do this in the ASP articles section)

2- send the email, using the file you just saved as the attachemnt, to yourself.

Try it, and let me know where you have problems.

Hello I have been using the CDONTS.Newmail object for a number of years to send nicely formatted HTML Emails with inline images. I am now trying to switch over to using CDO and I cannot reproduce this functionality. I am using the AddAttachment method instead of the old AttachURL method but the attached images just show as separately...

I have an ASP page that uses CDOSYS to send a simple HTML format email with a PDF attachment. When I open the PDF attached to the email it shows up as a blank page. I log into the web server console and open the same PDF in the source directory and it opens fine. I run a binary comparison of the source and attached files and there's a...

Dear all, I'm having major issues sending an email from my ASP.NET app. I'm getting a "Could not create 'CDO.Message' object". When I did a search for cdosys.dll in \win_location\system32, I could not find it. So I copied it from another Windows 2003 server, where it did exist. Another dependant file was missing too (inetcomm.dll).

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
