ASP sql syntax error but MS access query ok

2 New Member
Hi,
I wrote an ASP page using MS access 2000 on an ISS 5.0.

I got "Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E14)
Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement." at the execute line of the sql:

insert into att(aName,line1 ,line2,mobile,e mail, noidung,image, partner) values('abcd',' abd','adf','adf ','df','abcde ','images/personnel/',on)

When I copy & paste this query in ms access, the query work just fine. I can see the new added record.

Table attorney have aID as auto-number. aName, line1, line2, mobile, email, image as text (50)
noidung as memo
partner as yes/no

What's wrong with the query in ASP?

Solved. I knew the problem must be something reserve word but did not check keywords for MS Jet. Turn out that 'image' is a reserved word for M$ jet. When I change it, the query works.

Good day all, I am working on a multi-select list box for a standard question checklist database and I am running into a syntax error in the code that I cannot seem to correct. I will also note that I am using Allen Browne's multi-select list box for a report as a guide. I should also note that my access skills are not the best so I may need some explaining on certain things. First let me give some background on the database: I have a...

I am receiving the following error when attempting to run my query. In my mind - this error should not be happening - its a straight-forward query with a subquery. I am using Access 2003 with all the latest patches. If I do not group the query (ie. remove aggregation) it will work. If I recall, it also works if my subquery does not have joins. I want to accomplish this with pure SQL .. I could easily write a VBA function to handle...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
