I'm written a Windows Service to send e-mails on events
like OnStart, OnStop, OnShutDown using System.Web.Mail.
It works for everything but OnShutdown. My guess is that
once my send mail code is executed, other necessary
Windows Services have been terminated before it can
actually send the mail. I've updated my
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
registry DependOnService value including SMPTSVC and

data to be stored in Session object so that each user can get its own

Ive been following some tutorials on creating windows services. Ive not done
them before.
In my original debuggable windows form application, I create my worker
classes. The classes 'run' themselves using several threads and only stop
when the form is closed.

The Service frequently stops and there is no entry in the Event Log for a

i use try..catch in my windows service,and when some exception occurs,
i write it to event logs.
in webapplication ,if you use a catch to "hold" an exception, and do
not throw up, the exception will be ignore if it is available.
my windows service is a mul-thread service, which workes for a growing
work-list. but some workitems of this list will make erros when
services is running for it.

These days i'm creating a windows service in c# which reads some data
from a file and saves it in a database. The data in the file changes
every minute.
I am using FileSystemWatcher object which monitors that file for
LastWrite event.
The problem is that after the reading of file and writing the data in
the database the service quits unexpectedly.
What happends? I googled but found nothing about it.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
