partial trust mode-System.Componen tModel vs Reflections

1 New Member
I just finished my
sort of MVC/P framework where I do url rewriting. During the url rewriting I access properties of the controller/presenter based on the url. First thing that most of us would probably do is to use reflections to dynamically acess properties of the controller on the run-time. Not possible with reflections in the partial trust environment on shared host !!
So I switched to methods of System.Componen tModel and use right
now PropertyDescrip tor.Set/GetValue methods. As far as I know System.Componen tModel does not use reflections. So I guess I am good in partial trust mode ? Am I ?

Where to get/buy tool for partial preprocessing? 1. What I mean by partial macro preprocessing. This is mode in which almost sources (>99%) is not preprocessed. But some macros (setted by options) will be "executed". This feature maybe used for: a) exclude some (nonpublic, temple or test) parts of source code. b) simplify source code (remove unused macros, replace some macros to better undestanding). Example (PRIVATE macro executed,...

I've never understood the rationale of allowing partial, but not explicit specialization for classes at non-namespace scope. Ie.: struct A { template <typename T1, typename T2> struct B {}; // this is not allowed: template <> struct B<int, float> {};

Hi folks, I need some help with an ASP.NET 2.0 page that generates the following error when it calls a VSTO runtime DLL: System.Security.SecurityException: That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers. My understanding was that for my partial-trust Web application to call a VSTO strong-named assembly, the assembly needs to be in the GAC. That is,

Hello everyone. Your help is very much appreciated. I am trying to create partial replica from the design master. it all goes well until I try to set the filter using: repPartial.Filters.Append "Customers",jrFilterTypeTable,"Customers.Region = 'CA' " It throws an error: "Invalid expression in the ReplicaFilter property". The replica db, does contain "Customers" table, which has "Region" field.

Can one define a partial class (first part containing constants like enums) and then define the rest of the class elsewhere? I ask this because I've had in the past needed to defined two classes (call them A and B), each dependent upon the other. Class A requires the enum type defined in Class B. An example follows: <header file="A.h"> #if !defined A_H # define A_H

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
