"User Session has expired" in Windows 2003 under Crystal 7

Yes, yes, I know why are we using Crystal 7 under Windows 2003. Well we
have to for now.

We had a website that was working just fine under Windows 2000 then we
re-staged the boxes upgraded to Windows 2003 and now we are having problems
with Crystal 7. The thing is that this works on development machines also
running the same version of Windows 2003. We are not running in IIS 5
compatibility mode nor do we want to.

The problem is that reports will display fine but when the user clicks on
the Export button on the report then it crashes IIS. The message 'User
Session has expired' is displayed to the user when this happens. I added
some logging to ReportCrystalSe rver and when the EXPORT request comes in it
crashes IIS before it hits the page and of course the oPageEngine session
variable is not set when it tries to check for its existence and it
generates the error above. It is odd because it had successfully navigated
the ReportCrystalSe rver page 2 times for other actions (cmd=GET_PG,
cmd=GET_TTL) immediately prior to the error.

I have been trying to determine the differences between these 2 boxes and
have not found the difference that will make this work on the web servers
yet. IIS is identically configured on all boxes (except for IP addresses of
course).

I am currently reading
https://www.towrylaw.com.hk/asp/scr_...as_expired.pdf but so far
it has been of no help.

There has to be some configuration or component that is causing this to
crash, but I cannot figure out what that may be!! Help Please!

Thanks
Vance

I've made a program sorting incomming mail in public folder. The function runs every minute by using the form.timer event. In Access XP it runs for weeks, no problem. Access 2003 runs the same code for 6 hours and stops. I've found the problem to be the Set MySession = CreateObject("MAPI.Session")

I simply want to execute some code once when a new session of my ASP.NET application is started (I'm not using session state for anything else - just writing some data to a database). I thought that I could simply put the code in the Session_Start event procedure in Global.asax.cs, however, the event procedure executes and a new session is created every time any page is requested - not just for the first page requested....

I have a Web Server running IIS 5 or 6 on Windows 2K and Windows 2003 Server that is experiencing strange shutdown problems. We are using ASP.NET v1.1 and our application is written in VB.NET Here's the scenario: 1. .NET Windows Client on a remote machine makes a web service call to update tables on a Web Server running SQL Server 2000. 2. The Update is updating about 1000 - 3000 records doing simple update statements like "Update...

Is there any way for one Session to remove and update objects in another Session? I seriously doubt it, but thought I'd ask. Here's why: I have some data that is unique per user (or per session - similar to "welcome back, Jim" after Jim logs in) and consumed across multiple pages. This "per user" data lives in a database, so toward improving runtime performance I want to cache data supporting this and similar per user features. Because the...

Hi all This question is one of "theory" rather than a search for the specifics of a solution. I need some pointers as to how to proceed with my project. Here goes. My application allows the user to select from menu options. Some of the menus allow the user, via an options form, to select parameters for the display of reports. Those parameters will include things like the date range,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
