I am trying to crawl my site to get a list of links. I am using the regular
expressions to get the href tags from the pages and reading the links using
xmlhttp module.
is there an efficient way to loop through the links? If you start with the
home page, how do you do it? How do yo ukeep track of the pages you have
been to and which to do next.
I am not sure how to go about tihs.

Hi all,
Does anybody know a command line tool (linux or windows) that can compare 2
XML files. There's only 1 extra requirement that makes it a bit more
complicated: the order of attributes or elements within an element is of no
importance, and so the tool should still report that 2 XML files are equal
even though the order is different.

Hi,
I support an enterprise web application (IE client) built in VB6, with about
200 classes, serving about 7000 users, running on 3 clustered servers. I
need to incorporate web reporting for the first time, so I am interested in
learning what web reporting options are out there, and the pros and cons of
each. In general I need to generate reports with XML documents as inputs,
and make them available to all web users.
I am partial...

I'm looking for opinions on a C technique I, and others, have used
successfully in the past. While some people swear by, apparently
others swear at it.
Assume a part of a program too large to fit comfortably in a single
source file, call it a "module". Let's call it "module A".
Also assume for various reasons module A needs a private data store
with static storage duration, accessible from files in more than one
translation unit. ...

I am looking for others who have built systems to scan documents, index
them and then make them accessible from an Access database. My
environment is a nonprofit with about 20-25 case workers who use
laptops. They have Access databases on their laptops and the data is
replicated.
The idea is that each case worker would scan their own documents,
either remotely or back at the office.
And NO I am not planning to store the scanned...

I have upsized a client's application from Access BE/FE to Access FE/
SQL Server. All is fine with initial testing, and they want to run
the systems in parallel prior to going live. The MD, who is not
particularly technical, is more or less insisting that every day a
comparison is made of the two data repositories to see if they are out
of sync. There are about four users who will be expected to key the
data into the two systems...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
