embedding an axtiveX that prints on the local printer.

Is it possible to write in VB6 an activeX that will receive a RecordSet and
display a data report and then print it on a local/network printer?

Yes, George, it's possible.

Of course, you might want a different looking printout for different
recordsets. Also, if you wished to alter the look of the report you would
need to distribute a new DLL.

Instead, you might want to look at turning XML into HTML (or some other
format) using XSLT. That way you can just change the XSLT (file) to get a
different looking report.

I've produced an Access application for a client. For one report, text gets cut-off at the right margin when we print the report. It does this only when we print; it doesn't happen when we view the report in preview mode. Also, it occurs only at the client site; it doesn't occur at my office or on any other computer I've tried. I can...

I am not sure if my problem is relevant here but here goes - my printer appears to only want to print the whole html of a web page, ie. when I print off an invoice from ebay - instead of just one page with the html hidden, my printer prints off all the html resulting in about 5 pages being printed off, any ideas? It did it with my old...

Hi, This apparently is a common problem and I've yet to read a solution that actually works for my specific situation. I have a Zebra RW220 printer that I connect to via Bluetooth connection mapped to a serial port. The application I'm writing runs on a Windows Mobile 5 device, so there's no built in printer support and I have to use a...
