I have a MS Access data base that creates custom reports for clients
in PDF form then prints the reports after all client's reports have
been printed. The problem that I have run into is that when acrobat is
printing to my printer, I can get it to print only the first page of a
report(OPTION 1 BELOW) or it is spooled to the printer then deleted in
the print cue before it it printed (OPTION 2 BELOW).
It's been very frustrating trying to...

Folks,
Does regular expression processing in Python allow for executable
code to be embedded inside a regular expression?
For example, in Perl the following two statements
$regex = qr/hello(?{print "saw hello\n"})mello(?{print "saw
mello\n"})/;
"jellohellomello" =~ /$regex/;

My database is a FE/BE Access 2000 database installed on 3 XP workstations.
Each user has a different model of label printing machine attached to their
PCs:
Workstation 1 has a Label printer model 200
Workstation 2 has a Label printer model 320
Workstation 3 has a Label printer model 400
All the above models all print to the same size label (with a bit of

I've produced an Access application for a client. For one report, text
gets cut-off at the right margin when we print the report. It does this
only when we print; it doesn't happen when we view the report in
preview mode. Also, it occurs only at the client site; it doesn't occur
at my office or on any other computer I've tried.
I can describe the problem best with a specific example. (This is a
contrived example, but it is faithful to...

Can anyone give me some guidance on installing a local printer with VB 2005?
I'm guessing I would probably do this with WMI, but i'm not finding anything
obvious. I see how to add a networked printer, but nothing to add a local
printer, assign it a port & driver.

Hello all. I am not sure if my problem is relevant here but here goes - my printer appears to only want to print the whole html of a web page, ie. when I print off an invoice from ebay - instead of just one page with the html hidden, my printer prints off all the html resulting in about 5 pages being printed off, any ideas? It did it with my old HP printer and now with my new lexmark so i do not think it is to dowith the printer itself? Thanks...

OK, is Access 2007 driving anyone else nuts? I've got three lines of VBA code that sends a report to the printer:
DoCmd.OpenReport RPT_NAME, acViewPreview, , , , ARGS
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdQuickPrint
DoCmd.Close acReport, RPT_NAME, acSaveNo
These lines worked perfectly in Access 2003. Now with 2007, the report is being sent to the wrong printer. I don't understand why Access 2007 has choosen the particular printer it's sending the...

Hi,
This apparently is a common problem and I've yet to read a solution that
actually works for my specific situation.
I have a Zebra RW220 printer that I connect to via Bluetooth connection
mapped to a serial port. The application I'm writing runs on a Windows Mobile
5 device, so there's no built in printer support and I have to use a serial
port.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
