Request.serverv ariables("Logon _USer") is giving problems

Request.serverv ariables("Logon _USer") is working perfectly well for one asp
page returning the NT userid as expected but returning an empty string for
another asp page. Both the asp pages are in the same directory. This directory
have both Anonymous Access and Integrated Authentication enabled att IIS.

Any suggestion regarding this peculiar behaviour will be very much
appreciated.

Turn off anonymous access. Or, compare the NTFS permissions between the two
files and see what is different on the one that isn't working.

Request.servervariables("Logon_user") returns and empty string on one asp page but works perfectly well returning the NT user id on the other asp page. Both the pages are in the same directory. This directory has both Anonymous Access and Integrated Authentication enabled at the IIS.

For one of our machines, Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") is returning the wrong value. Person A is logged into the machine (I watched him log in), but when he retrieves an aspx page Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") returns the login of a different user -- a tech who logged in to his machine a week or two ago. It seems to be this one machine that's the problem. The user's login on other machines returns the correct value, and...

We have an intranet where a majority of users are in our active directory, but not all. We have recently upgraded to using asp.net on our servers and during the rollout ran into a problem. The users in the non-active directory list could not access the website because of integrated security. Well after figuring out how to solve our problems, we have one problem left (which is actually one of our solutions). On the default.asp page we have...

First time I've seen this and I'm not even sure where to look for the answer. An ASP page with only this code: <% Response.Write "User: " & Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") %> On most systems returns the domain\userID for the user on the workstation, as expected. But I have one workstation (at least) where this returns the domain\ID of whatever account is logged into the web server.

I am trying to figure out why I am trying to use the result of Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") in a query in my aspx application. I want to use the server variable. When I check the length of the string that this method returns (len(Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER")) I get a number that is one greater than the the number of characters that are displaying, which of course causes a problem. Does anyone know why this is and...

I recentlly converted some web services to 2.0. So far everything has worked great with the exception of one of the functions in an AD service. the following code: string sUser = HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables; Worksk fine if debugging in VS 2005 but when I publish to the server. An empty string is returned. I have tried to catch an error and does not appear to be one.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
